Facebook users' personal information has been exposed again. Cyber Security Farm Upgrade Experts have found two huge datasets open on the Internet through the Amazon Cloud Computing Server. They said that these data collected and uploaded by two third party app developers, who manage the business through the Amazon web service.
Upgrade said, 54 million information uploaded by Mexico-based Kalachara Collectiveva. The data stored in the account include the name of the account, e-mail address, reaction and posted on Facebook.
Another app uploaded another app called At the Pool. There's a list of users' friends list, what's the movie's list, a list of songs, a list of events, a Facebook group list, a check-in list, and a list of 22,000 passwords. Upgrade said that these two data sets would not have existed without Facebook.
But data sets are no longer under Facebook's control. Amazon's cloud computing service stores millions of small and big companies in their information. Their service is known as Simple Storage Service (S3). To keep the data hidden, the default setting of S3 is 'Buckets'. But customers can make changes to the settings and open these data for everyone.
In January last year, Upgrade turned Amazon into a dataset open. Amazon said, the account's owner has been informed about this. Nevertheless, there was no change in settings before last Wednesday. Only after contacting the media about Bloomberg Upgrade search is justified.
